John And Pat's Bust Adventure; Part I |
Last week was supposed to be a big three day
trip to the ranch by Pat and I but it turned out to be a bust.
We set out armed with movie camera, still
camera, rifles, food, beers few, and brought a little bit of water
with us too, with the intention of pre-running the wheeler course
for the rally in October, around 23. We wanted to come back
with movies and pictures, and pictures and movies for all of you to
see.
But the weather turned south as it passed
through the east and we cut the trip short, the same with our feast.
It didn't rain and it wasn't cold but the wind blew like Katrina,
that's what I'm told.
Seriously though, in spite of the poor
conditions we were able to make a few rides on the ATV's to areas
worth mentioning and that is why this will be a three part series.
Part II will cover our quest to pre-run the wheeler course for the
rally and part III will cover an
interesting side trip to the Bristol Mountains just south of the
ranch.
