In Search Of The Rally Course |
The search has begun for the off-road
vehicle course for the rally in October and
it's a good thing that we're actually out there pounding the
pavement in search of this course instead of simply relying on a
map.
We found that many of the roads we wanted to
use have either been closed by the BLM, have a locked gate blocking
them, or trespass onto private property.
Much of the course will go through the
Mojave National Preserve and many of
these roads were closed by the BLM when the Preserve was established
in 1994 in order to restrict traffic through the area.
There are, however, roads traversing the
Preserve that remain open. It's just a matter of finding them.
Check back on this page around the middle of
the summer when we go out again in search of the rally course.
The Easter Bunny was last seen
hopping through Iran and now it has been reported that he is being
held hostage.
