Ranch Bar Progress Report |
Ranch temperatures have begun to come down
as we head well into August and after several weeks hiatus, I have
been able to make it back out and work on projects.
Four more 2x4's will complete the deck bar.
Work will then begin on overhead shade which will include a smaller
deck. That's about as complete as the bar will be before the
rally. It will still serve as a
gathering place for the participants.
Desert Landmark Tree Destroyed

It was a shame to
drive by this tree that has served as a landmark on the way to the
ranch and find most of it burned to the ground. The picture
above is what it looked like before and the picture below is after
the fire.

I hope that the fire was caused by a lightning
strike or at the very least a campfire getting out of control.
Of the few people who come out this far in the
desert to camp this was a popular spot. It's a shame to see it
gone.
That's Funny
There are only two people
that I trust in this world and that's me and you...and I'm not sure
about you.
