| Three Tiedowns Available at the Ranch |
Improvements just keep coming
here at the ranch. Three tiedowns are now ready for use. Your airplane
will be secured with two 60 lb. blocks of concrete connected to
a chain and S-hook which can be re-positioned for best use. The
blocks are not connected to the ground. They are not as good as
buried tiedowns and should not totally be relied upon in high winds
but they are a lot better than those flimsy "tent pole"
tiedowns or just a parking brake.
Could it be my recent horse
visitors that I reported on three weeks ago were actually a pack
of wild horses? (Or is it brood? "Gang" of horses perhaps?
Gangs are very common here in California. I'm not sure the correct
term for a bunch of horses at the same place at the same time. "Horse
Power?" The first person who emails me with the correct term
will receive a free church key bottle opener as seen on the
Ranch
Store page. A $1.95 value!)
When I first saw evidence of horses on the property,
my city slicker mindset automatically assumed these horses had riders.
I later realized horses run wild in many states including California.
This was brought to my attention on my last trip by a passer-by
who said he saw a group of 15 horses about three miles away from
the ranch. Pieces of the puzzle are starting to come together...
