Welcome
Halfway between Los Angeles, California and Las
Vegas, Nevada in a remote corner of the Mojave Desert is a place
called Bacon Strip Ranch. It's nothing more than a dirt airstrip
next to a few cabins and an outhouse surrounded by 100,000 acres
of some of the most beautiful and majestic desert land in the Southwest
states.
Bacon Strip Ranch represents the freedom and
openness of the Old West. Neighbors are few and far between and
the ones you see are friendly. A person's word means something.
Deals are made with a hand shake and a six gun is a regular piece
of clothing.
Bacon Strip Ranch is "Where the fun gets
done" which can't be stated any simpler. Visitors will enjoy
the desert in ways they couldn't have imagined before coming out
to the "middle of nowhere."
Bacon Strip Ranch is for those who want to get
away from it all. Those who want true adventure. The nearest paved
road is seven miles away, as the Grumman flies, and seventeen miles
by land vehicle.
Access to Bacon Strip Ranch is by airplane or
four wheel drive. The amount of water, food, or medicine available
is what you bring in.
During the day take in the sunny skies and fresh
air. Explore the area on ATV's. Hike
nearby mountains. Walk along an abandoned
railroad line. Visit the mysterious Desert
Megaphone and old Indian petroglyphs. At night sit around a
campfire under a sky full of stars. Listen to the coyotes howl in
the distance. And the next day, do it all again.
Bacon Strip Ranch is only a few hours from Los
Angeles, San Diego, Phoenix, or Las Vegas but once here it feels
like a million miles away. Experience for yourself this isolated
outpost. Own your own piece of the Mojave.
